History

Prior to setting up her own consultancy in January 2008, Julie-Ann Adams, the Managing Director of Really Green Credentials, set up and then co-owned M Baker Recycling [a specialist electronics recycling/treatment facility] in St Helens, Merseyside, from its inception in 2000 to January 2008. The company progressed to a nearly £8 million turnover with a staff of 140, and was put up for sale, with the new owner then quickly selling to Viridor Electric, which still owns the facility today. Julie-Ann then put her eight years’ experience of the e-Waste / WEEE and waste treatment arena, and her knowledge of government policy and EU regulations to use to form her own consultancy business. This has grown considerably, and the team expanded to include auditors and other consultants in the EU and USA.

Regulations continually challenge authorities, operators, producers and the waste treatment industry to stay up to date with both existing and forthcoming environmental compliance legislation. RGC understands the complexities and needs of companies and organisations and effectively bridges the knowledge gap in a practical and cost efficient manner.

Our practical knowledge of recycling facilities and corporate compliance enables us to provide clear, reliable information to businesses and producer compliance schemes, including:

  • Management system guidance and template records and internal audits to ensure compliance (pre-certification) to international standards including for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, EN 50625, EN 50614 etc.
  • Details and comprehensive auditing of treatment facilities and the recycling outlets for materials derived from WEEE (waste electrical & electronic equipment).
  • Business-to-business WEEE collection, take-back and recycling solutions and supplier audits – providing legitimate haulage and treatment routes, checking compliance of destination facilities, data protection, verification of destruction method, cost analysis and waste disposal and management of reporting and evidence requirements.
  • Supply chain checks – to verify the routes of all incoming and outgoing materials / ingredients and fractions for any kind of manufacturing or service-led organization.
